Jiayi is an interdisciplinary designer with an interest in digital service, system design, and user experience.
Her computer engineering background helps her to combine data & technology with design from an engineer's perspective and service design allows her to collaborate with different stakeholders and design with users in mind.
Across work she has accumulated a wealth of experiences using a range of methodologies, working in multidisciplinary project teams to create value and build relationships between people and businesses.
In an era where the digital nomad is becoming increasingly mainstream, we have observed that for the majority of fast-travelling digital nomads - spending no more than a month in each city - balancing work and travel leaves them with limited opportunities to fully explore and immerse themselves in local culture.
Roaming Beans is committed to addressing this challenge. Through our cafe-centred community-sharing platform, Roaming Beans aims to empower digital nomads to experience and explore the culture of their destination cities more profoundly.
By collaborating with local independent cafes and communities, we create small local communities to foster digital nomads’ sense of cultural immersion and create unforgettable memories.
Breeze, is a service that celebrates the power of Art. By using arts and crafts, Breeze enhance refugees’ emotional sustainability, helping them in expressing feelings, generate income and better integrate into the new environment. Breeze consists of 3 aspects: making art, selling art, and connecting with the wider community, which relieves the stress and anxiety of refugees on emotional, financial, and livelihood levels respectively.
