Improving TYA cancer survivor’s mental health
Around 2600 Teenage and Young Adults (TYA) are diagnosed with cancer each year and 82-85% of them can survive in the UK. There are over 35,000 survivors. However, Supports for TYA survivors are dramatically reduced after discharge even though people often feel anxious. They struggle to adapt to a new life due to multiple life transitions and rapid changes. As a result, 90% of them have at least one concern. So, my aim is providing service that can make TYA survivors prepare for the future in advance by connecting with society, and providing integrated information to prevent mental problems.
