Design for the Unwanted Friends
The problem of stray dogs is complex, especially when pet trading and ownership are unregulated. China accounts for one-fifth of the world’s number of stray dogs, without adequate shelters, many individuals see an animal asylum as the most pressing need for their community and have taken an action to establish their very own ones. However, this great empathy hasn’t influenced more people when it comes to the decision of getting a dog - only 11% of dogs are adopted.
To change this situation, this project will focus on supporting independent shelters, promoting adoption, and encouraging responsible ownership.
